Recent changes to Tymender: smoother review, clearer privacy controls, better history, and a more reliable Finder handoff.

Side-by-side previews, a free trial, and real licence keys
Version 1.2.0. The rename preview now shows each file's current name beside its suggested one, with an approve box on every row and Approve All / Reject All for the batch. A new empty state greets first launch: drop a folder straight onto the window, or pick one with Choose a Folder. Presets can clean up camera and screenshot filenames (IMG_4821, DSC_0001, PXL_20260612_101112) and run your own find-and-replace rules.

Free for your first 10 renames
Tymender is now free for your first 10 renames, then a one-time unlock. Licence keys are cryptographically signed and verified on your Mac — activation works offline, covers 3 Macs, and still needs no account. The count never leaves your Mac.
June 2026
Runs in the background
Closing the window now keeps Tymender running in the background, so clipboard history can keep capturing. Click the Dock icon to bring the window back, or Quit (⌘Q) to fully exit.
June 2026
Clipboard history improvements
Clipboard history is now on by default, so copied text appears under History → Clipboard right away. The list also behaves better after a fresh copy. Everything stays on your Mac, and you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy.
June 2026
First-run setup and privacy
New onboarding explains watched folders, Finder setup, the first rename workflow, and what stays on your Mac.
May 2026
History exports and batch reports
Rename and organize history can be exported as CSV or JSON, copied as compact summaries, and reviewed with before-and-after reports.
April 2026
Faster batch review
Keyboard actions, search, filters, recent folders, and drag-and-drop make larger cleanup sessions easier to review.
March 2026
Finder integration controls
Settings now shows Finder extension status, troubleshooting steps, and restart controls for the right-click handoff.
